Degreased, washed, polished, lubed, buffed over, tyres inflated.

Return to garage several hours later to fit number and drinks bottles........... rear tyre flat as a pancake!!!!!!!

Turns out the valve has blown. Now will not sleep for worrying I'll have another flat in the morning!

You appear having a very large rocket for the nicer word in your garden 2wd :-D

Well it looks like its booked up. I'll try the BC stand at 7. 30. If nothing I'll leave at 8.00 anyway. Im insured so it won't be a problem.

I'll be on a old blue Harry Hall track bike more likely than not
Have a good day. Hope to see some of you on the day :-)

Still part of the team !
Hang on just a minute. I am referring to the fact that several thousand riders are being told to ride at no less than 18 mph multiple times around an in part narrow, tight and pot holed course for 52 miles. Irrespective of if it is a race or not a slightly tongue in cheek comment of "it's gonna be carnage" does not mean you should berate me and totally misinterperate what I have said. If you look through the thread I think you will find plenty of people who do consider this to be some sort of time trial. I am not one other than complying with the organisers demand. Although why we need timing chips and the fact they will publish the times is somewhat contradictory to what they say it is.

Easy, I wasn't criticising, I was agreeing with you.

And speaking for myself I do already race competitively every weekend but thanks for your encouragement anyway.

Good, because you race, you won't have anything to prove to slow people like me.
I'll take it then you at least will understand about riding in groups so you won't be cutting people up, diving for gaps that might be there and generally being aware of what's around you ?

Have a great day out.

I'm escorting my wife around the 26 miler. . . . DEFINITELY going to blitz her in a sprint finish though. I'll find a lady on a dutch bike to be my lead out 'man" :bicycle:

Bikes are numbered up and ready

If Gaz finishes before me it is due to me feeling 'more under the weather' than he obviously did!
