Game: Name that road!

I'm 90% certain that it's the road on the east of Colliford Lake on Bodmin Moor, but i can't find the right spot at all... so if anyone wants to beat me to it, be my guest (unless of course i'm completely wrong)

It was the 20miles to the coast in both directions clue that lead to directly to Devon.
It wasn't hard to find the right reservoir, but finding the exact spot was.

Not sure if it's exactly the same position, but near enough as makes no difference.

Quite right @robjh, I should've been about 30 yards back, making the edge of the lake line up properly with the bushes on the hillside.

I thought I'd spotted the first aid to location, big white objects rising from the sea in the top left, but on zooming in I see they spell (C) 2023 Google

I do wish I could read the caution sign though - doesn't look like MOD, and I think it says something in progress - but what?

@robjh "in progress" is correct. The word preceding it, which I hoped would be decipherable, is "Golf". If you could read the words at the top they would give the game away completely.

At first glance I thought that had an East Coast vibe about it but haven't had time to look for it until now. I started at Berwick and just followed the coast northwards!
Just east of Fraserburgh.

Strictly speaking (groan) I haven't ridden this road yet but I should be able to next autumn when I take my in-laws north again.

Hmm... StreetView suggests that I might have fallen into a trap, or at least, been looking at the wrong Floors Castle!

I've ridden past Floors castle and the road was bigger than that I think

Yep. I drove past there earlier this year, when I was staying with my daughter in Peebles and we had been over to Chainbridge.

I think this is the view of it you were thinking of. Hasn't got the finals on the gateposts, and there s a Castle sign. But it certainly looks similarish.

I was thinking more of the name that @Mr Celine had given the photograph!

Assuming that it wasn't a complete red herring, and that there isn't another Floors Castle to consider, I am taking it as a hint to explore the nearby lanes. I have already found similar-looking walls in the area but not the actual location.
