Game: Name that road!

here you go... unnamed road on the edge of Haldon Forest. The lane just seen to the right down the hill a bit is called Dunchideock Ln, which is a odd name.

That's the one - well done. That was the route I took from Chudleigh to St David's station in Exeter on my first holiday in Devon.

The extra hint that I was going to give was this...

That grey line between the hills is the river Exe.

Yes, that is a very unusual configuration of roads.

I was going to also look for the strange tower, but it turned out to only be a patch of dirt on my phone screen - ha ha!

If the little compass icon on the image is accurate then we're looking east-southeast. But the landscape could be in many parts of the country.

There is a distinctive thing on the hill roughly above the top right-hand corner of the give-way sign. It's not captured very well on Streetview, even if you zoom in. Posting a picture of it would give the game away

I imagine the bend in the major road is much closer to a right angle than it appears, as in this example:

Yep, it's pretty much a right angle. Google's camera has added it's own distortion

Or just a tower, hard to tell much at all. Plus now it’s a right angle and not so obvious.
