Hulver, a friend and I will be riding back to York via Scunthorpe to give a change of scenery and take the route over 200km. You're welcome to join us, though we'll probably be raring to go and get the best bargains at the cycle show before they're all snapped up.

I have considered taking my van over there during the day on Friday, getting a train back to York, doing the ride (obviously) then driving back on Saturday. If I did this, I'd be able to carry one or two passengers and one or two bikes besides mine. I think Origamist expressed an interest in this. If you're interested too, it starts to look like a worthwhile plan.

Yes, I'm still up for this, (if you can be bothered to drive to Cleethorpes on Friday!).

If not, I'll be cycling back to York where I intend to get drunk.

Somehow Mr B. I doubt I could keep up with you. I've seen you when you've been pootling and you've breezed past me. Even stuck in a horrible single speed gear you were quicker than me

I'll be happy to tag along for a bit though, we might be able to get quite a group together for the trip back.

I'm riding back to York by the shortest route, see how I go, I may need to snooze somewhere. Company will be welcomed.

That sounds a bit more realistic than trying to keep up with Mr B.

I'm being a lightweight wuss and getting my baby sis to come and collect me in my big sister's vehicle (no bike racks or anything but it's a fairly large and dog-hairy people carrier thing) and take me back to York. It's theoretically possible that there might be space in it for another person and bike, if the bikes were stacked by someone more expert than me - so if there's anyone who gets there and is stuck/really can't face cycling back give me shout and we can see if a game of bicycle jenga works out. I'm the short fat blond one on the Trek Valencia

Well I wouldn't say no to a lift either . Otherwise I'll be in the convoy heading back for York at an average speed of 10mph.

Funny, I always thought of MSeries as faster than me. CrinklyLion, say hi. I'll be wearing a Clifton CC jersey and possibly chatting to MSeries.
