In cheerier news, my sparkly accessories have just arrived! So I'll be an extra-glittery lazy lump, at least.

Mangaman, I presume you mean the top of Coldean Lane. I used to marshall that junction for the L2B running event and regularly had cars trying to kill me. None succeeded

Cheers for that rich  that's made me feel better!

I think Dell has festooned the area with marshalls for that reason

I see that there are 3 marshalls at Coldean Lane. I do hope that Mangaman is the one named Pat Willey, that's a sight worth seeing

Now now - behave.

You yourself have mentioned the dangers of the junction.

It wouldn't be a good idea to upset the marshalls that are there

Was a bit worried about filming this one as camera still on the blink, and I'm leaving before the massed start.

Good news though. I've convinced my dad to come film at Sloane Square, and I'll have a second camcorder on board for fills en route and to mop up post sunrise.

I've just noticed that the Bikely route mentioned on the FNRttC blog web site seems to cut a corner whilst descending Reigate Hill.......................

Well, that's one of my GPS plots. At a guess the GPS dropped out for some reason going down the hill, and since no one mentioned it before, and I don't check every bit of a GPS track, I hadn't noticed that. I'll edit it to something more sensible.

Is the ride going down Coldean Lane? Becuase that's where I broke 50 mph on the trike - have fun!

Not on my watch Lee

This is for charity. We're under strict instructions to keep the cyclists under control - not the cars - over which we have no jurisdiction.

Mind you 50 is pretty good...

Waaaah.

Am gutted I cannot make this ride

Instead I will be enjoying/experiencing the delights of a nightclub somewhere very near to where you will all be passing. If you spot a gaggle of females rolling around in the gutter between 2-4am shouting "phwoar men in lycra", well that will probably be me....

Have fun all.

According to my correspondence from 'Martlets', which I have just opened, the registration is taking place 'from 10pm' at Hyde Park Corner. (Only joking... )
Sloane Square.
Are we, as marshalmellows, going to be there from the outset? I think it might be good, so I will be. Adrian, who is anointed 'Prince Marshal' herewith, might have an input. After all, we need to be "On Our Way" (© Dellzeqq passim) earlier than most.

Darn. (deletes remark about being offered relief on the grounds of good taste). Tell us where the club is and we'll arrange a diversion.

Sadly I can't make this: off to Washington instead. One of these days I will actually be in the correct country for a FNRttC ...
