Thighs bigger than a bicycle frame? Arms longer than a bicycle frame? A classic case of Tourer's Syndrome Davy! I think it is a long way for a zebra to gallop, and what if your zebra came across a human crossing - is there any guarantee it would stop?

Funnily enough, I did think about that, that being thighs being than frame... but its all old hat now.. I think we need to move onto something new.. like maybe my calves?

There doesn't seem to be a Dan B on this list anywhere. May I?

Hi Simon

Looking into getting the train tickets back-
The ones on offer depart from Brighton at the latest 8.49

I'm suspecting that gives us very little leeway between queueing for grub after getting in with an estimated time of arriving around 7ish for speedier riders and dashing to the trains.

The next cheap ticket goes around 11 something - this might be a bit too late for two tired cyclists? That is unless the conversation was very scintillating and stimulating (I doubt it would be anything else hah!!

Just a post to check really what you usual approximation of when the TECs get into Brighton so it allows for if we both take it more slowly?

Thanks!

I'd say 11, allowing for rehydration and conversation

I'd have thought we'd be in to Brighton between 7.30 and 8. Bear in mind Groupsave, though. The trick is to ask around.

We can get an online discount for just over £3 each which is pretty good.

I'll get the later one in that case as it allows for some chilling out and if we get tired, we can have extra coffees!

And we have a plan.

I will be heading to HPC with two friends who are part of the Blackberry Wood Gang.

As we pass the campsite small-hatler will join us on his new bike (!)

Negotiations are underway to see if I can persuade Mrs and Little Miss hatler to join us.

A further set of negotiations are underway to see if Mrs hatler and possibly the spouses of my two friends can be persuaded to do the coffee thing.

Tim D is near the top of the list, but I've not heard from Louise who could be forgiven for taking time out.........

Sounds complicated, but going on the basis the more concrete parts are earlier in the post, it'll be good to finally ride a FNRttC with you - assuming my plan comes off as well

Does anyone, who's following the Rugby World Cup, worked out, in theory and if all goes to plan, whether England would be playing the semi on the Saturday 15th or Sunday16th?

And.. if it is the 15th... is there a contingency pub to attend in Brighton that's bike friendly?

Assuming England top their group which shouldn't be too difficult (although watch England screw it up), they will play on the 15th

*Have just remembered I put a bet on England to win the WC back around Xmas time. I remember getting good odds!!!

Don't get carried away, there is the small matter of a quarter final the weekend before chaps.

Almost certainly against France now. So long as they continue to perform as they did against NZ, even the poorly firing England that is currently on show can win!!!
