Almost extinct
Assuming the wife gives birth on plan, and his grandmother shows up to back-fill my absence, I'll be in.
Otherwise I'll just be in serious trouble should I attend.

I'm now out
Wife gave birth a week ahead of schedule and grandmother therefore leaves a week earlier.

Even worse the work have decided we're having an Awayday in Brighton the following week, and most of us will be cycling down for it and staying over night. So my October FNRttC pass has been revoked.

Simon - I'll follow up with an e-mail

Yay, I'm back.

That's an awful lot of people for an October ride! Let's hope it's not a chilly one, as earlier in the year. The freezing water bottles are of course easily dealt with by the addition of a suitable anti-freeze to the water. Various ethyl alcohol based sustances are likely to be suitable.

In anticipation, I've just been to Aldi, to pick up winter tights, socks and jacket. Therefore the ride will be exceptionally warm.

Right you lot, you just about got away with it this time but now do you understand how dangerous thinking two weeks ahead is?

Absolutely oh pink-topped-one, I promise not to do it again

Now that dell is on holiday, would this be a good time to arrange for everyone to put mudguards on their bikes, along with racks (front as well as rear)?
