Look at other brands then? What are you specificallly wanting? A triple?

Nope tbh I really had my heart set on the Merida Ride 300, I have test rode one and like the bike, also the LBS is a Merida stockist.

I have still been looking around and checking online still in case I stumble across something else.

I have also tried the Ride 400 and would go for it if the right deal come along at the right time.

If thats the one you like, just buy it, and enjoy the rest of the autumn. Buying from an LBS can also have undeniable benefits over online

I would prefer buying from there, just can't resist looking around!

Also thought I would post if here in case others like the look of the spec on the Cannondale.

The white one looks much better ;) looks a decent bike for the money, but being a four year old spec it is the older Tiagra groupset

A riding buddy of mine has the Cannondale with Sora triple, she's quite happy with it

That said spec doesn't matter a jot if it's the wrong bike or frame for you

I seriously considered buying this one but it's one size too big for me, and ended up buying a Specialized S-Works Transition instead.... I see it's listed again:

Not sure if it's in all branches, but our local Tesco Extra has a lot of bike stuff reduced:

Front / rear "be seen" / back up lights for £1.30 each
GT85 £2
Saddle bags £3.80
Tyre levers (2) 65p
Puncture repair kit 65p
An eye searingly bright USB rechargeable rear light £7
Muc-off aerosol degreaser £4
Bottle cages £1.30

Plus lots of other lights, tubes and accessories.

On Paul cycles , I rang regarding a bike advise , they advised against the bike I was interested in when I told them of my back issues.
This is more than any bike shop in my area would have done and Paulscycles would get my business without hesitation.

The bike does have the Cannondale BB30 bottom bracket which seem to have a slightly chequered rep for failing
I definitely wouldn't buy another Cannondale, having bought one last year. Think I've had to change the BB at least 3-4 times in 12 months, and it went again last week. :cursing:

I have used loctite 641, which is low strength, just smear the outside surfaces ofthe BB where it contacts the inside of the frame, you just need to wet the surface. Assemble and give it 24hrs before use
