Having picked up a Wilier Montegrappa frameset this week I've been looking at the spec. sheet. This appeared and seems to be decent value at £399 (was £799) for a Sora-equipped road bike - but only in a Medium size (others have similar / older models in other sizes):

That must be about your seventh bike :okay: (but no recumbent yet ...)- where do you keep them all ?

I've various storage at home and elsewhere. And yes, there's 8/9 bikes and the Wilier will be built up next year when I'm well. It'll be replacing my Eastway R4.0, the Spesh Secteur along with the Dawes Impulse. The Eastway is OK but heavy and the Secteur is well used. The Dawes was bought without really thinking what I'd do with it, the result being I just haven't used it since finishing a tidy-up.

And no recumbent yet. I have been looking at a trike though ...

So the Dawes was an impulse buy then ?

I was "watching" that frame you bought ;)

Winstanleys have had this bike on sale for at least 6 months and it looks a right bargain, but i`v paid for stuff online that they say is "in stock" only to be told that they dont have it because their supplier is letting them down.... It took 2 weeks or more to sort out a Wilier water bottle purchase...:thumbsdown:

Best get in touch with them to make sure they really do have it before parting with your cash :okay:

Yep. I saw it with about 20 seconds before the sale ended, hit 'bid' and then thought ... "what are you going to do with this if you win it". A Dawes Impulse bought on impulse

So if I decide I don't want it I have a potential waiting buyer

They have a good reputation. I was going to but a Cannondale from them but was unsure of the spec. Phoned them and they were very helpful and informative. I did not go through with the purchase.

Lots of people on here have used them, e.g. @jamin100

Also I think they are/were @Saluki local bike shop

Only ever read/heard good things about them

The bike does have the Cannondale BB30 bottom bracket which seem to have a slightly chequered rep for failing

Hmmm that's a little off putting as my Boardman has had issues with the BB that are still not resolved.
