Anyone wanting a new road bike on a budget Argos has the DBR Sprint for £150, half their more standard price.
Whilst Very appears to have very same for £400, it would be OK value at £250 or so.

Likely you will see the Raleigh label somewhere on the frame, and the BB should be the standard cartridge type too.
I would assume the brake shifters are standard Shimano 2300.
For £150 it is very hard to go wrong. It even has 28mm tyres which, for what it is, is a big plus.

It is worth noting that I detoured slightly off the C2C today, went to the Argos clearance store and intended to recommend this at a price of £200.

Regarding the above, Argos has the £10 voucher offer back on, so that makes the bike £140 ! There is also the 10kg weight Cross at £200, which is maybe similar but with a carbon fork.
It was claimed to be £600.

Looked pretty good for the money but don't see any stock.

Oops, I thought the fact that it was available to click for delivery meant it was available.The better Cross road bike is available and is certainly worth the £200.
