I have one and would recommend it.I have done 2000 miles on it so far. The wheels are fine. I was trying to look back to see how much I paid. I think it was 400

It will be a bit boil in the bag but these type of jackets are OK in my opinion. Good value.

I was a long time Karrimor Vail wearer as well.

So simon, the one in am asking about is as good as the vail?
Got to ask, why did you replace yours? Before mine was lost in fixed a barbed wire tear with duct tape and all was well for several years through several washes.

I'd say it's on a par. Very lightweight, wind proof, shower proof and not too sweaty. I can't remember what happened to my first Vail. The second one got a large tear on the elbow as a result of an off. I wore it for some time after that, but eventually it had to go. I've still got a couple of purple Karrimor smooth fleeecey tops from the early 90's that are almost as good as new!
