YMMV.

Can't speak for Cateye, but my SMART is now two years old, used in all weather, no bother at all. (Mounted to rear seat stay, or light plate on a rack). That said, my bikes do run with full guards, so the light may not get the soaking others do. This one is the second SMART I've owned, the first led a similar life (and problem free) until a malfunction caused by it being knocked into the path of traffic & serially run over last time I was hit by a car.

Expecting it to work after it had been ground into the tarmac is probably a bit much though.

Great wee lights but they don't like the wet !

Unlucky scoosh, my superflash defaults to on when wet (it switches on to constant by its self) For they really wet rides I've opted for a Mars Blackburn (still not too dear £22) and its proven to be a very robust light and bracket and I think its backed up with a life time guarantee.

Received one of these yesterday (LED rear light)

Brilliant little thing, very bright, visable from the sides and has three modes - constant, flash and strobe up and down).

Great as a secondary / backup / spare - although it's the only one i've got at the moment!!
Too late now but the 7 led version you've linked to is £4 on CRC, I hope you got it cheaper than the buy now price.

Elastic Backup LED Lights

After looking for some of those backup LED Lights, I found a pair on the frontpage of ekiB for £6 with postage. They work really well! Does anyone else use these?

Hello! May have been mentioned before but Sports Direct is always worth checking for bargains. Last weekend I bought a Karrimore cycle top for 8.99 which was 70% off - bargain! And it was tasteful too (only problem with Sports Direct is you have to sort through the chav stuff to find the good gear).

They had some girls ones too.

Also 5 pairs of trainer socks for £2.50 and they were nice.

Sports Direct are still selling the Karrimore cycle trousers for £12.99 which are good value. (I bought a pair from a comment on this forum a few weeks back and are fine, only point is the back is not high)

The Karrimor socks are an absolute steal at the price and are significantly better than pairs i have paid ten pounds for.
