Bike Shaped Object.

But I would disagree.

So would I. Seems a perfectly well specced base level bike to me. I'd be happy to see my mum on that - if I hadn't already procured her a Carrerra Subway 1.

BSO = Bike Snob, Obviously

Just what is snobbish about saying the second hand offers better value for money at that price point? :biggrin:

Don't confuse cheap with value for money.

I couldn't agree with you more - I picked up a lovely second hand tourer for £70 recently. But, while said bike might not be the best possible value for money, it is nevertheless a perfectly good bike, and people like my mum wouldn't know good second hand from junk.

In summary, it is a bike, not a bike shaped object. Apple Macs are overpriced, but are they computer shaped objects?

Hmm no indication what class it is. Might be too slow

Good spot, I didnt notice. I'd do some benchmarks on it but I dont have an SD HC reader (lacking correct drivers) so Im having to go via the camera USB ;)

Footage in and around the house seems ok but Ill report back with a youtube link when Ive tested it on the road.

I've no idea how these secondhand bargains are found, months spent scouring loot, freeads, ebay, etc. has turned up nothing at a reasonable price.

Like you, I spent weeks on ebay, gumtree, etc. Meanwhile my village store had an advert in the window from a gentleman who lives 2 minutes walk from my house. He sold me this bike.

Technlogy's great but there's no skool like the old skool....

cheers..i got a 4gb card to go with it..should be plenty...it was cheaper to buy the card seperatly rather than in the bundle

Note that it estimates a gb per hour and 2 hour battery life. Probably dependant on the frame rate achieved but 4GB cards are probably sufficient and 16gb excessive.
You can get a 4gb class 6 micro sdhc from play

Aside from which it has just occurred to me that the format is unlikely to be EXT2/3 or NTFS so a max file size of 4GB anyway so to film in excess of that you would have to turn it off and then on again to split into multiple files.
