Not sure you question should be in this thread, but these might be good. Bought a pair recently - the pad is a proper one like you'd get in lycra shorts, not just a bit of material. Stuff around it very breathable so it's not like wearing lycra underneath. Not had extensive wear yet so no long-term test results.

Not a full "bargain" maybe but I agree with you that the price of these things is crazy - paid £20 for something from a major cycling brand which I don't think is as good.

Thanks for the link. Had seen these and is basically what I'm after and same as these DHBs I'm sporting now. However, being used to Amazon, CRC and Wiggle's free delivery policy AND returns on almost everything I simply refuse to pay £3.99 postage.

It's not being spoilt or "expecting too much" it's called being a canny buyer and saving money!!

Just wish Aldi stocked them at the same price as their cycling shorts @ £7.99. They fit me really well - the Lidl cycling gear I have found sizes to be all over the place. Last shorts I bought from them, waist was fine. Actual pad area was huge and I struggled to get them over my knees - and I haven't got unreasonably huge thighs.

Only just worked out SMIDSY - on my own - yay! No doubt some drivers will be PITAs that use the excuse that "it confused me"!?

Cheers

Heads up on these SPD M50 clipless http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3759 that I still use on my road bike as haven't had a need to change.

Last time I bought these, a few weeks ago, included were platform attachments that turn these into flats one side and SPD the other. These adaptors are over £10 on their own and was a nice little bonus. They came unboxed as I guess OEM stock.

I haven't a clue if all of them are like that, with free returns & great CS it's hardly a gamble. I bought them in white. A damn cheap price for dual sided pedals with cleats if you ask me...

Might be worth a punt if you are after the option? Oh yeah - I get a high 5 race pack with every order I get from CRC. Shame I hate grapefruit!!

Cheers

Ordered. I was very impressed with the brighter 35 Lux, until the Flanders organisers lost it, a couple of these will hopefully make a good replacement!

Seriously, this is the biggest bargain I have found this year. I've paid a fiver just for a bracket that fits these and the 35.

Thought it was a misprice, until I saw mine shipped and received today - with a High 5 pack.

Average at around £15 EACH online or 4 for £14 from Wiggle!

Perhaps they are gonna drop the price again, for these lights that have a LIFETIME guarantee - can't see it myself...

£3.50 - with cashback of 3% - LOL

Cheers mate , still not showing any at my store since and disappeared online since I ordered them , so have asked for an email when and if they come back in . Not impressed after ordering 2 pairs to find out they had none even though their system said they were in  . Ah well ,c`est la vie I suppose.

Maybe no need to go to the dizzy heights of £7.99 - I have a pair of "Crane" things from Aldi I got for £3.99 - the stitching looks as if it could be troublesome but I did risk them on a day ride and they were fine. Of course who knows when/if they will come round again.

Someone has now posted them on HUKD, so anyone thinking of buying should do so now, as they'll be gone by the morning...

Which pedal is that - the PD-A530?

If so I bought a pair a far while ago in a sale for substantially more.

Never fitted them so don't know what they are like in use - I bought them to use instead of that other sodding SPD/flat pedal of Shimano's which is very good but after buying two sets I decided is a total NONO as you need an expensive tool to service it - last time I checked this small tool costs more than those pedals you've highlighted wakou! So unless you "invest" in that tool what you have is an expensive pair of disposable pedals.
