Tesco are currently selling a road bike currently at £125. Is this extremely good value or just a waste of money?

It is very similar (verging on identical) with my MuddyFox Milano Carva (http://www.muddyfox.com/milano_carva_2008.html). It has shifters on the stem, 14 speed, not the best brakes or quality in the world.

It is very heavy for a road bike. 14KG is more than a decent spec mountain bike.

"brakes slow you eventually, inner tubes hold air." Doesn't inspire confidence!

Chain Reactions are doing a price drop clearance until Monday. The last discount has just been applied and there are some good deals to be found if they have your size

... and if you're very, very quick. I went to buy some gloves, and they sold out in the time it took to get my credit card out.

I'm horribly confused by their sizing though, I'm usually size 11, but looking on the bottom of the shoes I'm wearing right now they say '45', but according to the Chain Reactions sizing guide 45 is UK size 9.5?
I'm a size 12 and always go for a 48 (although the old Spec shoes I have behind me are 12/47 ). Size 11 would be 46 I guess.

Yep size 11 is 46 although I haven't checked which shoes you're looking at. If they are Spesh M087, the 46 is a tight 11.

And Redjedi, you have big feet!!

I'm a 10 and have size 46s, 45s seemed a tad tight. LIke everything I guess it depends on the manufacturer - or even not sometimes, my little girl has two identical pairs of trousers, purchased of the same rail at the same time, and one pair is a good inch bigger around the waist.
