Went into Lidl today as I heard the cycling stuff was in. Must be expecting a load of giants in to buy their stuff as there was absolutely no average sized clothing, all XL and XXL so couldnt buy any shorts, jackets or tops. Left with a solitary pair of cycling socks at 1.99 and some beer to drown my sorrows.

Wouldn't she need proof of purchase to get a refund or exchangge?

Replacements can be made from the manufacturing date of the serial number, certainly with the manufactures (well some anyway), it might be possible at retail though not sure, anything is possible with modern technology.
Had a water pump replaced without proof of purchase, the new one is only guaranteed to the end of the original however.
