Good morning,

Isn't it time for one of the Mike Ashley haters to tell us that they would never buy anthing from one of his shops?

The Alu 105 was (only XL left now) such a bargain at £600 but the 105 Di2 is so tempting that I decided to prevaricate in the hope that by the time I have had a "couple" of beers they will be out of stock.

The main off putter is that it is so "aero" that damaged parts could be an issue, especially for a mail order prchase on an end of stock item and possibly an end of retailer/supplier partnership, although this is pure speculation.

I see that Evans also has a Specialized Tarmac SL7 with 105Di2, but that one is not that much cheaper than others have it for.

Even the Specialized web site has it for £2599, in other words there may be a glut of bikes to be cleared over the next few months.

105 di2 on a alu frames a bit like lipstick on a pig?

The groupset would be better hung on a tarmac or noah etc....

There is also nothing wrong with a decent alloy frame - you can get dead carbon frames to, it's not a magic material people think it is.

About to get my legs shortened so that I can take advantage of this.

The aluminium one looked great, but I already have a silver aluminium road bike running a 105 groupset. Not enough of a difference.
