Not wanting to pee on anyones chips, but that isnt a carbon post. Its an alloy one with a carbon sleeve around it.

Still, it seems a good price you have got it for, but way overpriced at full retail.

Unless Im wrong about it.

Well it says "3K carbon fibre sleeve bonded to an AL6061 tube" in the description so it would appear you are correct.

Bought the July issue of cycling active magazine in Tesco yetserday & exclusive to tesco you get a free bike shaped bottle opener keyring. I know it's prob a bit late & most people will have already bought the July issue, but might be of interest to someone

Bell Slant helmet, 25 quid in Decathlon. About 70 in Halfords and 50 to 60 elsewhere.

Bugger, I was just there buying a bike but didn't have time to look for a helmet. I can't find it on their site, the only Bell helmet is the venture. Did they have black ones?

Finally got around to ordering some of those Smart lights from Planet X. Went for the set with a Lunar 10 front and Lunar R rear.

Just tested them in the garden and they're painfully bright. Even in direct sunshine the front was strong enough to create a bright circle of light on the ground for my cat to chase!

Just £9.99 for the set, supposedly down from £32.99 (order something very cheap as well to get over £10 and get free delivery)

Thanks for the recommendation, mine arrived today and although the price has gone up slightly by a £1 and free delivery is now for £20.01+ they were still a bargain at £13.49

Been looking around for ages for a long-sleeved jersey for this cool weather and was resigned to paying £50-£60 when I found this website: Look at these prices! Delivery only $8 as well so I've ordered a 2009 Specialized long sleeve jersey. The whole cost will be about £27.

you should prolly quote "not including vat and import duty"
which you'll get stung for at customs. unless you're lucky ;)

So far I've always been lucky when ordering small items from the USA. I really don't think HMRC are bothered about it.

If they use a recorded delivery service such as Parcelforce or a courrier service like UPS FEDEX DHL you usually get stung if the duty and VAT is over £8. They also charge a £10 admin fee on top of the £8, which is a pain.
