Been looking around for ages for a long-sleeved jersey for this cool weather and was resigned to paying £50-£60 when I found this website: Look at these prices! Delivery only $8 as well so I've ordered a 2009 Specialized long sleeve jersey. The whole cost will be about £27.

Rite! Gone and ordered one as well (Bianchi Team for me). I'll come cry at your door if I get ripped off

Are they fakes?

I think they very well could be.

The website has only been up for a year and is registered and hosted through a californian company but digging a little deeper, it appears everything is done from China, including management, manufacturing and shipping and that the California registration and hosting is to cover this up.

What made me suspicious was the bad english in places which is usually a tell-tale sign.

Further investigative work shows that the site is owned by a Xu Donghzen in China, see here: Background info

Compression undies £4.99
Cycling socks £1.49
Gel fingerless mitts £1.49
Lighting sets £2.49
Helmets £4.99

Bloody hell, that's worrying. I also noticed the poor English and the Chinese characters on the shirt pictures. I'm glad I chose to pay with Paypal and not by debit card; if it all goes tits-up I've only lost £27.

You say the goods are fake but how do we know they are not genuine, unsold stock? I can't imagine that these shirts are made in the USA, they're probably imported from China anyway and why would they bother making a fake 2009 Specialized shirt?

I don't think you will lose your money but they may be fake. If you have ever been to China, they have markets where they sell all these fake goods. You will be amazed at what they go to the trouble to copy !!

I'll know as soon as I unwrap it because I have a Specialized short sleeve jersey, which must be genuine because it has some rubber letters stuck on the sleeves and collar, which must cost a lot to produce.

Oh well, if it's carp I can always Ebay it for the same money and buy a dhb top.

The Paypal receipt is a bit of a giveaway too: You sent a payment of $42.94 USD to 廖 智谋

Let's share info on final product quality, if/when they arrive. I am not too worried, I think we'll get something decent, if not the real thing.

Thanks for the heads up, but no half price offers yet in the Castle Bromwich store (Birmingham). They only had helmets and gloves anyway. Still picked up some gloves though, they seem pretty good even at £3.50.
