How odd. I am looking out of the window and the street is full of Swansea fans! In front of my eyes, on the internet - 'Swansea' is everywhere!
Yes. The ascent out of Newhaven warrants extra bubbles in the ale. Adrian will sort out a smuggler's tunnel I expect.

Yes good luck to the Swans this afternoon. I shall be heading to the tap of the Swansea Brewing Co. in time for the kick-off.

Reprehensible...ah damn, every time I try to write an 'S', I get an 'r_e_p_r_e_h' silly keyboards. Good luck (not with the beer selection, as you possibly need none, (not beer, but luck (in selecting ale) as you are an expert) but generally for the reprehupporters of Reprehansea!

Swansea for the Cup! "Come on you Fevvers" (no idea what they're called) The team don't give autographs, they 'do' cygnetures, I understand.

"Beautiful plumage!"

It's ok - I'm just doing a bit of swan 'upping' to pass the time.

- is it empty down there?

Etap for Titus I think, Frank. Would that be for the Saturday evening or is it worth bombing down to Orleans, and making a big Arc to get to Paris? (Ignore me.)

Yes, I saw his post but discovered there are more Etaps in Paris than I could shake a stick at!

Do you know what you are doing yet, Teef? I was away for the weekend with some cycling people and the vibe seemed to be that it was best to get booked up early as it would be busy.

Don't know how I'm coming back yet either. Maybe I'll ride back on the Monday. Is anyone else doing that?

Buying cheap railway tickets months in advance - Rule 1:

"Take care to select the correct town of departure"

 Brighton, Frank, is Plan A. Adrian has introduced a welcome complication, giving us plan A.1, aka The Newhaven Sharpener. We shall stay long enough to discharge our responsibilities to our host at The Hope, and then resume Plan A with plenty of time to spare. I'm on the 14:19 from Brighton, and will be handing out tickets and bike reservations Santa-Claud stylee to anyone who wants to join me...
