Brighton, Frank, is Plan A.
You may roll your eyes now but regulars of this thread will no doubt recall that your Plan A was to come over to Dieppe and get the early morning ferry back!
Brighton, Frank, is Plan A.
Is opening at 09:00 on Friday 22 July. So that a wistful farewell can be waved.
I did say that about a dozen people would be coming and gave assurances that they really would be wanting to have a drink or two to make it worth opening. I hope that is true.
Brighton, Frank, is Plan A. Adrian has introduced a welcome complication, giving us plan A.1, aka The Newhaven Sharpener. We shall stay long enough to discharge our responsibilities to our host at The Hope, and then resume Plan A with plenty of time to spare. I'm on the 14:19 from Brighton, and will be handing out tickets and bike reservations Santa-Claud stylee to anyone who wants to join me...
I can't even begin to imagine you as Santa Claus, TC (tired and emotional, perhaps?). But I'd happily exchange some BEER for one of those tickets. As long as you promise not to say "Ho ho ho" on the way back!

Nice for les riches! I was looking at this for around half the price:Titus and I will be staying at the Etap Paris La Villette on Avenue Jean Jaures, in case anyone fancies joining us!
Swansea for the Cup! "Come on you Fevvers" (no idea what they're called) The team don't give autographs, they 'do' cygnetures, I understand.
"Beautiful plumage!"
It's ok - I'm just doing a bit of swan 'upping' to pass the time.
- is it empty down there?

They cost all of 45p, Andrew! All you really need to say is "Gis a ticket, then". But if you're sure it's your round, you won't find me arguing too vociferously about it. I thought it was MacB's round, actually, so it just shows how wrong you can be...
Oh, it's definitely MacB's round. No question!
PS: Having re-read my original post I'd just like to say that I'm in no way insinuating you're anything less than generous, TC. It's just that if you turned up dressed as Santa Claus I'd probably burst out laughing! [1]
[1] How to win friends and influence people... I can see myself being pointed to the next train to Nowhere... Ho ho ho!
Talking of which, the Ospreys are a bit down in the mouth this morning. They share the stadium! Everyone else is very happy. Did you get any more pics of the Jack Army in town from later in the day, Teef?
No. I spent my time imagining Rich with clothes on... it was a poxy afternoon in the burbs anyway. Well done them - I expect their manager will be sacked now, and some other deadbeat like Carlo Curley or whoever will be shipped in "to work closely with the players and coaching staff, to ensure that our supporters and owners have a team to be proud of... and yes, I do have funds to buy certain players and I'm looking to strengthen the midfield etc"
Never mind. Ruth got a pic with the trophy!
