Our late terrier, Bertie, was absolutely affronted my human farts.
He was not a sufferer himself.
Having a lot of flatulence isn't a bad sign, more probably you've just eaten something which you don't normally eat.
I believe a diet should have loads of fibre (and water) which softens stools and passes waste products out of the body more quickly. Once your body adjusts to the fibre (most of us don't eat enough) the flatulence will lessen.
That said, is there anything better than letting rip with a rasping fart????

I follow a low fodmap diet due to IBS issues & it keeps things under control most of the time. Lactose, Sorbitol & Fructans are my triggers. Having lived with this for a number of years you learn to never trust a fart!.@GlamorganGuy - joking aside, have you googled FODMAP. It is focused around IBS type symptoms one of which is flatulence. There may be some suggestions there ?
