My wife's model 3 has gone in for bodywork repairs after being clipped by another driver.

We've got a Skoda Fabia 1.0 turbo courtesy car. There is a lot to like about it except the gearbox is extremely clunky engaging gears. I think there is a problem with it locking up and not letting me change sometimes. It's only got 8k miles on it. Other thing it's rather gutless in power being such a little engine. It needs thrashing to make it go which crucifies the fuel economy. These little turbo cars are designed to be run slowly. Nice cabin albeit lacking inbuilt sat nav. It has AP and Android via cable connector so yesteryear, where is the Bluetooth for this ?

And the price difference between a model 3 and a Fabia - hardly comparing apples with apples.

Quick search suggest the model 3 averages £50k in the uk. For that you could get a Range Rover Evoque. I doubt it would be lacking in 'toys'.

Has it got wind up windows?

I did some quick calcs the other day on how much it has cost to run our little EV so far (only a couple of months in). Here’s the cost:

Or in English £30 for the 1600km (1000 miles) it’s covered so far, which i thought was pretty OK. In our little 3 cylinder Audi A1 it would have been 5x the cost for petrol. Still not big savings at the end of the year with the overall little mileage we do in the car, but better than a kick up the arris.

Rather have a Fabia

Buy a new Evoque and I'll give you a Fabia for it and throw in a new Brompton as a bonus.
