Could anything other than a cosmologically evolving God spontaneously assemble Supernova heavy elements over 4 billion years in such a configeration that the heavy elements become self aware and the lower elements become militant Athiests? xx(

yes, evolution.

I think if people want to believe or have faith in something, whats wrong with that?Insinuating people have mental problems because they do doesnt really show you in a good light. There is a very good and pleasant part of that belief.

I'd recomend this book, it's a good read and not too technical:

MICHAEL DENTON: 'Evolution: A Theory in Crisis'

Denton is a Non Christian molecular biologist who absolutly rips to shreads the idea that macro-evolution is possible. He concludes that he has no idea where life came from, but he knows it 'didn't' evolve.

This looks like a good site too. It covers the basic problems with the macro-evolution model and gives references for further reading.

I like this page but there are many more interesting articles on the home page (Link at the bottom)

Those are astonishingly poorly researched sites which display a laughable ignorance of the science of evolutionary theory. Really. It's like reading the work of a four year old.

Mr Pig - your beliefs are all very well, but you are way out of your depth on science. What I don't understand is why you even feel the need to try to rubbish evolution (and so poorly) - if any God is beyong time and space then their existence and that of evolution are entirely compatible. Believing in a god or gods really has nothing to do with trying to square the reality of the world as we know it with words written down by ancient people in times before we understood more about how the world works.

I can respect people who conceive of their gods as outside of what we know of the natural evolution of the universe or indeed act as the instigator(s). However people who insist on the actual existing reality of everything written in 'holy book X' against all the evidence we have accumulated to the contrary are both ignorant and perverse.

I remember many years ago having heated debates with a guy round the corner about evolution. He was pretty arogant about it, about everything to be honest. It just so happened that there was an Americal biologist giving talks on the problems with evolution and I asked the guy if he wanted to come along with me. He came but said that the speaker was talking rubbish and you could "drive a bus" through his arguments. The speaker hung around to chat top people and I asked the guy if he wanted to talk to him about the things he thought were wrong. He didn't. People like him never do.

Here's another page you know doubt won't like:

Sorry, I can't see what you're getting at here.
I haven't had a chance to look at your latest link in any depth, but honestly, the first two really do demonstrate no understanding whatever of what evolutionary theory is actually about. If you're going to argue against evolution, you need to do it on a scientific basis, and to do this you need to understand the science, not just spout off a load of half arsed cobblers. (Not you, Mr Pig; I'm talking about that website.)
