more when it needs a fettling and has just made me ram my knuckles into the gears or jabbed muself on the brake cable's snapped and protruding wire. Always its fault of course, never the numpty trying to fix it :angel:

I've said this before and I'll say it again, I never ever anthropomorphize inanimate objects, they really don't like it.

I dont talk to my bike, but Im sure I can hear what its thinking. Usually along the lines of...

"Other Roubaix`s get Tom Boonan and get to go fast, for distance in nice parts of the world. Why did I end up with this fat bloke going round Wolverhampton? Stupid git even keeps checking to make sure the brakes arent sticking... HELLO! Youre just slow. Oh look, here gomes a gradient, whatch him flick the small left lever a few times... Im a compact, I dont have a great-great-granny ring."

...and so on.

Never have thought about talking to my bikes, but sometimes I pat (or patted) the saddle to compliment the bike for it reliability and being an awesome machine!

I have a new bike on the way though, so no doubt I'll give it a name, and the same treatment, haha.
