If my computer was peeing me off I'd go for a bike ride to calm down. Not so easy when your bike is the computer. A good reason to keep a spare analogue bike handy.
Not that I want to appear a smug luddite, but clearly this is always going to be a danger when you own a bicycle that need a fugging app to operate..
I'd never buy an electric bike like that either, mine is entirely controlled from its own computer on the bike. Too many things rely on apps to operate rather than providing an actual interface.

I mean in both cases fair enough if it doesn't connect to a GPS or telemetry or whatever but for it to be totally unusable? Wow.
When I first saw this I thought "so what, you'll still be able to ride it just without the electric assistance", but now it seems like you can't even use it without it being hooked up to a computer, is that right? Because that's nuts if so!
