I paid over Ā£3000 for my Cube Kathmandu a few weeks ago. This morning the displayā€™s dead and the remoteā€™s not controlling anything.

OK the app says ā€˜software errorā€™ but when I tap for the solution all I get is ā€˜contact your e-bike dealerā€™. Great but theyā€™re closed, itā€™s Sunday!!!

Why canā€™t they just post the instructions to fix it???

Relax, drink a beeror whatever your preference and wait for tomorrow morning, it's only a few hours away.
Probably just a software update.
While you're quaffing have a gander at this:

Thanks. Iā€™ve just checked that and the software is up to date so no solution there. Itā€™s an error but no information on how to fix it other than contacting the dealer.

Certainly food for thought, Kathmandu was on my shortlist for next ebike but it may drop off sepending on how this goes for you. I wouldnt want to be stuck with no bike just because I'm not trusted to try and fix it myself.

A fellow software programmer had an all-purpose error message during development: "Danger, Will Robertson!"

I wonder if any of those made it into production.

Pestering a human to update you is an automation failure. Oil needs water like software needs a bicycle.

Eeee, in the olden days there was none of this software errors on bikes !

To be fair I think it should be like a lot of modern cars, plug in your own computer to the bike and diagnose the problem.

Edit: This is the Bosch business portal, if you register I presume it'll give you access to some business software for updates. I don't know if you ā€Šhave to be a dealer though :okay:
