It becomes a little weird when you start to enjoy wearing lycra
I have always been weird, just look at my hair, have to have in a pony-tail now when on the bike, as for Lycra leggings, beats jeans any day, and dont forget the shaving bit, mind done that since I can't remember, remember the naturist bit in the name, (not that all do).

White is not a good colour if it rains, becomes very seethrough very quickly!

Stick to black with a bit of colour if you like  Although if not going commando and wearing dark undies, a white strip down the length of the short is not good either!
See previous post, that wouldn't bother either.

Bollocks to what others think you look like, at least your out on a bike making an effort to keep fit and have some self pride, rather than slouching it on a couch watching stupid football.
All I'd say is try to avoid team kits until you can ride your entire training ride without looking as if you are sucking on a lemon.
Does that mean I can now then, mind they would need to pay me for advertising.
Corinne Dennis used to sell other colours

Gore, Pearl Izumi etc do women's kit with flashes of colour
Why isn't there any for the men, love purple.
Purple and lime green would work.

Personally as for colours ect, I dont give a stuff, I wear what I want, I have some female base layers, my Jacket is I think a female one, but unisex in colour, being grey, I have both male and unisex shorts, leg warmers and arm warmers are unisex, so on and so for ..
People look down on me for the bike I ride, though i dont see to many team kitted riders over taking me these days. Those that do generally are serious riders.
Heck even ride a bike with no shorts or top on, sometimes.

Don't bother too much about that myself. When I got my DHB bib tights it so happened they had a good deal on the mens so I bought them. Can't say I notice any difference. Lycra is so stretchy I don't think it matters that much.

Always worth keeping an eye on eBay too. If you're lucky you can get a bargain. I got my Altura Night Vision jacket and a pair of new tights very reasonable. Sometimes people buy things and either don't like them or they don't fit. Just your luck if you come across them.
