One aspect I miss, is that our local Waitrose was closed on a Sunday and their car park was empty. We used to take our kids to the car park to learn to ride bikes and to rollerblade. They are all grown up now with kids of their own, but happy memories.Shops are open on Sundays.

mm -Housing a tricky one brains.Back on topic, I think the biggest advances are:
Medical: Things that killed people in my youth are now routine hospital visits
Technology: To limit it to the top three, They are EMail, The Internet and public GPS.
Housing: Outside loos have gone, as have houses without bathrooms, central heating, insulation, decent windows
and lots more ........
It's certainly a place where shops are only open when everyone's at work.

In my opinion it's a case of 'when' not 'if', England will rejoin the EU.
10 years possibly, more likely 20 years.
To save face, England may not 're-join' in full, but rejoin in all but name.
