Or in my case, I shut off one radiator as the room wasn’t in use and then couldn’t work out why the radiator in the next room didn’t heat, turns out the two radiators are plumbed in series instead of parallel unlike all the other radiators!Further to si_c saying open the lockshield valve just make sure you count how many turns it is to off in case the system was well balanced.
Balancing isn't needed so much now TRV's are used but BITD balancing meant each radiator passed enough water to ensure the correct temperature drop from inlet (TRV usually!) to outlet (lockshield) and this helped ensure warm up was optimal (ish 😂 it's often never done).

My nest thermostat is set to 18.5c and it’s locked so can’t be adjusted. Currently set to eco, so no heating for now. Was contemplating switching it on but since found out the back door has been left wide open all afternoon. Whilst No3 son is sat in his bedroom. So stuff that !!
Should come north of the border. Lots ofbravado on lots of sense to live down South here. Ye be all scrambling for your leccy blankets
No central heating on here yet
But, MrsP gets back from the Canary islands tonight, I fear I might be on the losing side soon.
Still not on and oil tank is full and raring to go, I reckon I’ll make it in to November before I need to turn it on.
