Darn, I booked my combined train/ferry ticket last night... not sure who else has, so there may not be 12 buying tickets on the day?

I didnt think you could buy the ferry ticket online :shy: Even if we dont end up with the discount atleast they know we are coming :hello:

Given I'm carrying near 15 stone around to start with, I dont want to take any more kit/clothing with me over on the ferry than I have to. I also have gbc's cardigan to return

What I think I need
- money
- gels
- pump/tools/ inner tube
- kagoul if it looks like rains possible.
- half a Viagra if the nudist beaches busy

What am I missing?

From my experience of Arran, spare socks. If it rains there's nothing worse than waiting around the ferry terminal with soaking wet feet.
Also, energy drinks and water. Refill opportunities are few and far between once we're past Lamlash/Whiting Bay.

Where you planning on keeping the spare socks?

Knowing Colin, I think he may have envisaged different plans:rolleyes:

I didnt ask for it but i have just got us all a cheeky discount ;)

"Thank you for your email regarding Group Rates for the Ardrossan-Brodick
service on the 06.07.13 and returning on the 06.07.13.

To qualify for Group Rates there must be 12 or more paying passengers who
are part of a recognised organisation or charity travelling on the same
route/dates and times and must be purchased as one transaction.

Your recognised organisation is: Cycle Chat.

The Group Rate fare per adult is £9.40 and £4.70 per child.

Please print and take this email along with you on your day of travel,
present to a member of staff and you will receive the discounted rate.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Switch and Cheques as payment
methods."

If it helps to speed things up I would be willing to pay ferry tickets on my MasterCard (not for free before anyone says it!) but ONLY if everyone brings the right money - I'm not dicking about with changing £100 notes and who's paid what, etc.

Col if you bring a copy of the email we can go in together when we arrive.
