I don't know how old Aunty Acid is but "don't try this at home" warnings date back at least to the '60s. The old Adam West Batman used to have a disclaimer that "we are special people" and discouraging imitation of their stunts. Presumably because there was a rash of kids trying to scale skyscrapers using their dressing-gown cords and plummeting to their deaths.
I always wonder why you need to book for Psychic nights
I mean - shouldn;t they know you are coming??
(my wife might possibly be fed up with that "joke")

In the 1970s A friend's mum made his younger sister a Flying Nun costume. Luckily she only broke her arm flying off the roof of their house.
We used to put a pair of Y-fronts over our trousers, wrap the arms of out coats around our neck to make a cape and pretend to be Superman. I remember jumping of the top of a wardrobe on to a bed to see if I could fly.
