The problem and indeed solution is obvious. Don't buy jeans as they are badly cut, are uncomfortable and have crap pockets

Buy proper trousers like moleskins, but not in a jeans cut

And look like a chartered surveyor, no thanks!

Supermarket jeans do have a terrible cut but places like Next have a bewildering selection of cuts.

If you're a weird shape
, you could get yours tailored!

Had to look up Moleskin trousers, akin to Farah brand perhaps?

In the stationery shops here I've seen Moleskin branded diaries, so you guess you could coordinate that yuppie look.

Back in my office days, we were sent on a 2 day course all about how to get the most out of using a Filofax, even how to walk along with it held correctly under your arm, I kid you not!

Delboy was merely an amateur

Clearly you worked for a trendy company
We had the proper professional version called a "Time Manager"
There was a full 3-4 day course on how to use them and how to manage your time properly

For low ranking managers (I wasn;t really a manager - but I had the same rank so I got caught in the net) we had a condensed 1 day course

It was full of low ranking technical people like me - luckily the lecturer realised this and was prepared for a lot of rolling eyes and cynical comments

It was posher - and less variety of trendy colours

but basically just a very expensive folder and diary

Here are my latest brand new from Hoggs / Fyffe country clothing. Also have the dark blue ones still in their packet. Last batch from many years back getting demoted to DIY duties

They do also do them in a jeans cut if for some reason you like uncomfortably cut trousers with shyte pockets, but I guess the cloth is an improvement over denim so that's something

Moleskin cloth is more or less corduroy without the stripes
