Put the 2008 battery on charge as not driven it for a while. Its 6 years old so not far off needing a new one, so I'll order one on pension day rather than wait until it leaves me stranded.

Pop into Renault parts dept and ask for a price for the part and location. Most folk will help, alternatively buy workshop manual

Renault dealer is some distance from home, and, I have already bought the part off eBay, but, I suppose I could try that. Buying a workshop manual seems a bit excessive, at my age, I cannot envisage DIY major repairs.

Currently got starlings in our loft need to get bird proofing fine later in the year under the bottom row of tiles

My starlings don't seem to go into the loft, just in the soffits and under the tiles. I don't mind them except when they poo on the car!

Problem we have it's when they start tap dancing on the ceiling of our bedroom as soon as the sun comes up.

Did some spur of the moment car maintenance this morning. A complete stranger knocked on our door and she’d had a puncture and asked for help. I was decorating so was already in scruffs, managed to swap over the space saver for her, pumped it up and torqued up the wheel nuts so she could go on her way.

How old were the tyres?

Michelin are well known for cracking esp motorhome tyres.

Not only Michelin car tyres, but also their bike tyres. A set of Michelin Power Road tyres are getting scrapped due to cracks at the edge of the tyre.

Little Aygo has been getting a hammering by son whilst is his off the road. I think he like's the economy and went up to Edinburgh and back yesterday. Not sure I'd want to go that far in an Aygo. Better go check the oil and see how many miles he did since I changed the oil a few weeks ago.
