Easy. 55 now, did the Mad Manc last year, 130 miles with over 11,000 ft of climbing. Was fine.

Paris Brest Paris at 764 miles or so, has been completed by riders in their 70s. Obviously as the decades advance, fewer are able to, or keep at it. It has yet to be finished by anyone in their 80s. But maybe that will come as those currently in their 40, 50,60,70s continue on.

I haven't done more than 10 miles single trip in ages, due to my cycling being mostly commuting.
I'm pretty confident I could do my age in miles (62) without a problem, as long as it's not too hilly or the pace top fast for me.

75 no chance.Cancer and chemo pinched many months off me.Then came eight weeks or so of vertigo and finally weeks of rest after a hernia.Falling apart i tell you i am falling apart. But i am going to try the turbo on the lawn see how i get on.If i faint and fall off it will be soft grass i hit.

I'm lucky I'm young enough to recover from the chemo (its a cruel b@@@@@@@). I've had a bout of Vertigo recently too, I don't know if its because my balance is shi1te until I get blood flowing to my feet or the changeable nature of my weak hands but my confidence on descents can be terrible :-(

Well, write it down boy ......
I can manage it, but as I get older, it takes me longer.

aye - but even for you and your most impressive Eddington (double mine) - your time will come, and it will happen before you're a 118

Oh don't get me wrong. I sure know that. As the years pass it's getting harder and harder to do longer rides. That's why I've signed up for LEL this year as I can't see myself doing anything like that again.

I hope so, I’m 60 yrs 10 months, last October was the last time I rode more than 60 miles. I’m booked on the Loch Ness Etape, which is 66 miles in April and planning a LEJOG next year, although the number of days hasn’t been decided yet.
