Pall Mall > Tower Hill Gardens - 3.1miles in 14 minutes is my current personal best.....(and suited & booted/ red light obedient). I did feel sorry for the person sat next to me on the train home from Fenchurch Street  Need to work on the "climb" up Lower Thames Street

It's a bit more complicated than that...
And I thought I was doing well to do St Mary Axe to Victoria (3 miles?) in 29 minutes. The lights and one-way systems mean that your absolute bike speed isn't often a factor in how quickly you can get around town.

The solution to that 'climb' is to hang a left up Fish St Hill, (1st left after London Bridge), up to Eastcheap, you then rejoin the main road at the top of Tower Hill and without the race along Lower Thames St and the Hill

I think TFL should get in on the "Boris Bikes Alycat" idea as marketing for the scheme.

I think they must have already, I saw someone on one of the bikes go through the red that faces you if you were waiting Northbound after coming across Waterloo Bridge.

What's a good time for Hyde Park Corner to the Ace Cafe and back?

Wait for some joker to hire a Boris bike, throw it in the back of the Range Rover, take a photo of it at Land's End, drive to John O'Groats for another photo, and then back to the Smoke to return it.

Is there a sweepstake on the first Fatality?

Hill?

My calcs say the bikes have 32, 43 and 59 inch gears.

Reports say the bike weighs 50 lb !!!

The 32" gear will get a moderately fit person up a 5% incline (not a hill) and the 43" gear is a nice cruise up a 2%.
