That reminds me of my Ridgeback which i was riding when hit by that car nearly 3 years ago. Mine had a grey/silver theme like yours. I suppose i could sell it,if you don't make it back Postie. Me being tighter than your average Yorkshireman,could you make arrangements for the transportation to civilisation (pay for the courier to bring it here to Lancashire) should you not make it back please.:biggrin:

Nothing like 1963 though, nowhere near.

But to give a bit of context, this is the worst winter weather "the country" has had since, as @AndyRM says, 2009/10. Certainly here in Glossop (which can be quite snowy) these are the worst conditions since then. It isn't #snowmageddon but it isn't in the category of "come on this is just a cold snap, get over yourself"

Me and better half had a lift into work this morning in a Ford Ranger. She's looking at 4x4s on the internet now. This snow could be very expensive...
Traction is ok in a 4x4 but braking is still an issue unless you have winter tyres. Combine the both and it's great fun!
