Morrisons do an all day breakfast sandwich, that has brown and red sauce. They go quite well together, and are great especially if you can't decide which sauce to have.

Thick butter, so it melts, mixes in with the bacon grease & the egg yolk and soaks into the bread. Then down that clean shirt you put on this morning.

I haven't had bacon or a bacon sandwich for more than a year, now I am salivating at the thought of one, and all I have in stock at work is Linseed and Soya bread and butter to quell the yearning its not quite the same.

In all honesty, don't go to Cafe's as they are great when you are eating their food but I feel grotty for hours afterwards. And we stopped buying Bacon as it kept going out of date!

Bacon doesn't go out of date until it starts to smell. Longer than that you can freeze it.

If you freeze it, layer with grease proof paper so you can get it apart to avoid cooking it all at once. I split it into 2 rashers between each sheet, alternately turning so you've something to grip. You can also get plastic boxes to fit the rashers.

So bacon... fry, grill or oven? I'm a fry man myself. Streaky smoked slow fried until the fat renders out and it goes nice and crispy.

Is it only me that fries the sandwich (not the cob/bap/bun etc) in the residual bacon fat after putting the bacon in it? Yum

Reminds me of the time we went out, the dog got on the table and ate rather a lot of butter. I won't tell you about the yellow mess that resulted.
