That reminds me of the young lady who went into McDonald's and asked for a vegan berger with mayo.
The lad serving said "You do know that mayo isn't vegan".
She said "Yes it is, I always have mayo on my berger".
He replied "But it's got eggs in it".
She burst into tears and ran out.

I've got a 5g router- Teltonika RUTX50. Works perfectly. Our BT wired capability was 9mb, we get consistent 100mb from 5G.
5G is but a pipedream there!

I've been looking at 5G routers for the camper, but for what a halfway decent one costs it'd be cheaper to go the Starlink mini way (and many do) and enjoy better coverage and performance.

Starlink is another option for those with poor cable/wire internet connection.

For some even 4/5g can be non existent. We are lucky a local village got a 5g upgrade and enough signal bleeds over our property

Some friends of mine had an early satellite broadband service using geostationary satellites. The delay (latency) was absolutely awful, and the bandwidth was only 1 or 2 mbps. And a massive ugly ground-standing dish!

IF they hadn't moved away nearly 20 years ago, they'd be salivating at the idea of starlink.

Except maybe for giving money to Trump's mate. And the matter of 7000 satellites ruining astronomy...

It's a technicalogical leap in internet service from space. In a few years ground based mobile calls will be competing with space based tariffs. Already we have satellite capabilities for emergency calls/texts from the latest Apple and Android phones.

It's just a matter of time, speeds will improve, bandwidth etc

It is latency that is the big issue with satellite internet, particularly for gamers, but also some other applications.

Gamers will need to get wired/optical land based connections.

For the rest of us, total world wide coverage whether remote areas or cities will be the main consumer base for satellite calls

What's a Gammer?

Ok I'll bite. Sad individuals, who play online games every spare minute available, usually in their bedrooms.

Generally have no other social interactions, no girlfriends. Tend to go on to be mass murderers after playing some violent game for years.
