Of course, it's just a bit of fun. Why don't you start a fresh crop of jokes and puns?

A separate thread for "Pokes".
I struggle with puns, certainly thinking of any.
But I do enjoy jokes.

Maybe a pun corner, that I can avoid.

The joke posted #30,220 would have worked if told using the spoken word as ‘bail’ and ‘bale’ sound the same.

Ah, but you have to accommodate the trend towards acceptable substitution spelling.
Because of my Mental Elf or Whatever I spell it bale and mean bail, you dear reader are supposed to realise that.
What happens when either word means the other is not completely clear to me
Anarchy or as it's being renamed Trump will prevail.

I note that my comment regarding the words ‘bail’ and ‘bale’ have caused a stir.
As this is a cycling forum could we now close the subject and get back to business.
I want to read member’s comments on their peddles and their breaks.

Are you trying to Skjöld people? ^_^

If you have a friend who is a Man Utd supporter then you can get tax relief for providing counselling to the poor person

(N,B. I think I lost a potential job with that comment
I arrived for an interview and was shown into the interview room - a nice posh conference room in Manchester overlooking Old Trafford
They proudly pointed this out and I commented

Very impressive - as I live in Liverpool I was hoping to get tax relief for providing an good example to less advantaged football supporters

I didn;t get the job

In my 2nd interview for a job years ago, I forgot to put my phone on silent. The message alert was a scouse fella saying 'Hey lad, I've got a message for you. Guess what it is? F**k off'

I SO nearly got to my phone before the 'eff off' bit but ended up sat there with the phone in my hand feeling really stupid, but they saw the funny side and I got the job in the end.
