It looks like a marking to show drivers where the dangerous, glass filled bumpy bit of the road is.

There's a few of those here in Bolton. I refuse to use them and take the road instead.

When there's a spare road for the houses/commercial buildings, wide pavement and additional green space running alongside it, why can't 'they' provide a decently-wide, physically-separate, continuous cycle path along the length of that road, I wonder?

so mate 2 being a drinker of the best real ales in the world goes down the slide yelling worlds best real ale, again the pool turns into the finest real ale, and he drinks his fill,
mate 3 is’nt the sharpest tool in the box but thinks this is easy, gets himself onto the slide and as he shoots off towards the pools yells weeeeeeeeeeee!
