THe WR is better looking if wood is your thing. I am afraid the design and engineering side of C2 appeals more, buit if wood and furniture is your thing then WR is available in several designs and all with different woods to meet with your room design aesthetics. They also do a hybrid wood and aluminium version and an all metal version too. Then there is ergatta the connected version with a large screen,

Also look at NOHRD range a sister company to Waterrower for other exercise machines.

Or if you appreciate the C2 design then look into their skierg, bikeerg and strengtherg (new product for strength training based on a cable pull linked to the same freewheel idea as the other ergs. All with PM5 monitor that is pretty good with the latest updates.

Water rower is one piece and does not fold. C2 folds making it better for storage. Mine is tucked by a book caseout of the way until I need it at which point it takes about 20 seconds from first hand laid on it stored to ready for a session, if even that. First piece out, second piece out and you lift them both up at the middle join and hook them together. Ready! I think this storage capability is the clincher for me over water rower. Or the £1099 cost new vs £990 for the C2 when bought direct. Cheaper elswhere of course. I spent £750 on mine bought direct from C2 UK. I know I would get most of that back selling it on.

You see the little rubber feet on the tank end of a WaterRower? They're for standing it upright (very easy, because the seat end is the light end), and the wheels down there are for, well, wheeling it around. Its footprint's smaller than a C2 when stored.
