Rag also don’t hold their value as well as the other brands being looked into.
That Rolex Air King just didn't do it for me, as they say. If it was £375 not £3,750 I would've bought it.
Seriously though, I'm after a watch that looks 'flashy'/expensive, even if it isn't and to me that Rolex although nice didn't make a statement. Yes, it would hold its price/value, but there's more to life and a watch, than having something just because you might be able to sell it on for a decent price one day. I tend to live for the day, not the future. I have an 18 karat gold chain I paid £2,300 for about 6 years ago which according to my goldsmith friend is now worth about £2,500. Yes, it's increased in value, but so what, I don't wear it as it's too 'Mr T' for me and it's a theft/robbery risk, so much so that My friend keeps it in the safe in his shop. Yes, It's 'only' worth £2,500, but if I was to wear it I'd be forever checking it was still round my neck! My point is where's the pleasure in something, even if it holds its value, if you can't wear it, or don't feel comfy wearing it, either from fear of loss/theft or you just don't like the look of it! You obviously know a lot about watches
@Regular.Cyclist . So much so that If you could, I'd like you to recommend a watch for me. I think £3000 is enough to spend, in my case. I'm after something that stands out to the general public, not really those in the know. It can be 'blingy', but also has to look expensive and not look too conservative and I'd prefer a metal strap to a leather one. 'Pre-loved' maybe, but it'd have to come with proof of authenticity etc. What would you recommend?🤔
