Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
@Accy cyclist - ever thought of cable-tying the bin to the car grille? Just suggesting
Far too premeditated. Just put the bin on top of it.

Saw some interesting feedback on facebook. Someone had reported a vehicle which was parked up a cycle track some distance from a road. That's an offence just being parked on it (section 21 of the Road Traffic Act 1988) but the police refused to follow up on a photo, saying that they need video of the vehicle bring driven on the pavement (which would be needed for a Highways Act 1835 section 72 offence, but doesn't even apply to a cycle track without an adjacent carriageway). Suggesting they may be mistaken got the same reply. Anyone got any bright ideas how to get them to reconsider, or is this one to file under "can't police, won't police"?

EDIT @ 17:06
The width of the pavement doesn't stop the kids heading to/home from fhe school opposite from rubbing down them, & scratching them
I'd had the Kodiaq less than a month before the first scratch appeared:cursing:
Not insured against that while illegally driven onto a foot way, is it? Teenagers know most motorists are too lazy to find and prosecute them or their guardians, whereas insurance investigators might bother once enough vehicles have been damaged.

Of course it will still be insured.

There is very little that invalidates car insurance - fraud (lying on the forms) or not having a valid licence t0 drive the vehicle are the main ones.

@mjr; junior school, so a bit more galling, that parents don't watch their offspring?
I'd have never thought of scraping down the side of a car, when I was that age, & kept away from any parked

Two more reported parking on the pavement next to zig-zags either side of the same pedestrian crossing as upthread two posts. And both are being followed up. They may learn, but it'll be getting expensive for them. One of the vehicles had a 'P' plate so it may be very expensive.

DC Lane is to appear as Dirty Harry in the new film...

Just seen this, as l’ve arrived home, after walking the Dog
Seen the same car there before

There might as well be a brick wall up to the junction for any drivers trying to get out, plus it’ll hide anyone walking across the road immediately in front of it

The painted circle is the ‘exclusion zone’, but this is school-run mums that l’m on about

Put a junction anywhere near a school and some bog head will park there.
Last week some body actually parked with there bonnet on the angle of the corner effectively blocking the view out of the exit.

Outside my lasses school they park on the path, the crossing, even the roundabout. A couple of times I've seen things almost come to blows as non school run motorists have been unable to get past, and if someone does get chinned they brought it upon themselves. I didn't see a thing officer.
