It's that damned car AGAIN! This time spotted parked unusually well in the disabled bay, apart from this!! I mean how damned close do they want to get to that bollard??!! I think the damned thing's actually touching it!! 🧐

As I came out the same store yesterday I spotted a bloke kind of evil eyeing the same vehicle. He made a point of bending down to stare at the car, snooker ball touching I'd call it, touching that plastic bollard. Get a life I thought!🧐 I bet he doesn't evil eye those damned big 4x4's without blue badges, illegally (albeit civil, not criminally) parked in those disabled bays!🧐

As I left my flat I was met with the obstacle course below! A walking stick in one hand and a dog on a lead and a shopping bag in the other hand. I had to drop everything to move that bin out the way!

Then I had to tackle the second obstacle! I was about to push that wing mirror in out of frustration when the women in the photos above came over and said she'd move the van. She was quite apologetic, probably after seeing me take these pics, thinking I would contact her employers. I wouldn't do that, but she wasn't to know. Anyway, I thanked her for moving it and them spent the next hour or so thinking about it. I showed the photos to a friend who said "Why kick off! Why didn't you just walk on the grass or in the road"!

It's mine. The binmen, sorry, bin persons  are supposed to put it back where they found it, not just leave it there. Honestly! I think I might have to review their Christmas tip for this year.

Just looked at the pics again. Nope, that bin is my neighbour's not mine! I thought it looked a bit small, as she has a half sized bin, for some reason. 🤔 🧐 Having said that, they didn't put my bin back either! Honestly, and then they expect a tip at Christmas. Tut! tut!! 🧐

To be fair they did put their wing mirrors in. :okay: And they seem to have left most of the pavement free, though how much to the right, as we look at that sign post on the pavement, is there for wheelchairs, mobility scooters etc to get through? 🤔

Most of those look to be the type of modern car that automatically turn the mirrors in when the engine is turned off.

I can't be sure, but judging from the photo they may well be parked on double yellows.

Double yellows, and other restrictive markings, apply from the centre of the carriageway to the far edge of the footway. They probably thought they were being clever and dodging the yellows by being on the footway, but they were wrong.

Tough luck. The penalty should be £500 - that'd make them think twice about littering the footway with their rubbish.
