DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Forward them to the local council

Report it here @Accy cyclist - https://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/parking/report-a-parking-problem/ and here - https://www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk/services/report-a-covid-19-regulation-concern/

I've had a similar issue in Kirklees but in my case I had a named contact through my local councillor.

Given where you are I'm guessing it's a common problem. Your decision is to report it as the business using the pavement to park customer vehicles, i.e. an extension of their business premises, or people trying to avoid paying for town-centre parking.

Look at this example of totally inconsiderate twat parking! :cursing: This object was parked up,in view of my kitchen window for 6 whole hours yesterday! What's he/she given us pedestrians to play with? About 4 inches, judging by the first photo i'd say. The git didn't even have the courtesy to put the wing mirrors in to give us another inch or so. I took these photos in full view of him who owns the MOT centre,in the bottom photo. I was dying for him to challenge me,but he didn't.

Plenty there to put in a report:
Forcing people with prams to transition from a smooth pavement to an uneven road.
Forcing people with wheel chairs to transition from a smooth pavement to an uneven road.
Forcing people with other disabilities such as sight, to transition from a smooth pavement to an uneven road.
You can also lob in that it's not a one off event as evidenced by Google Maps.
Incidentally, you may want to delete the last photo for (your) privacy purposes.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to contact the people that authorise the garage to issue MOT certificates, to ask if they feel this demonstrates a sufficient understanding of highway law and safety and if it is representative of the mindset of a person assessing a vehicles suitability to be safe on a road.

I doubt much will happen, but suspect they'll contact the garage owner, which may be enough to make them realise they are not a law unto themselves.

Classic at the weekend.

I'm in the local shop, marvelling at all the el cheapo sugar-laden snacks when white van man parks a sprinter van outside, up onto the pavement, on double yellows. Plus, waltzes into the shop with no mask, looks at me (with mask) and others who also had masks on as if to say 'So F***n what?'. Two traffic and one Covid violations in under 1 minute. Don't you just love arrogance?.

Thanks for the link. I've just filled this online form in. https://clickquestion.lancashire.gov.uk/runQuestionnaire.asp?qid=460626

Maybe attempt to get past, several times, with a very spikey pushchair. If you can't, take a run at it...
I thought about that, but like i said to an equally annoyed neighbour, these vehicles have onboard cameras filming 24/7 to record such things, should they happen. The plod/authorities would definitely be more concerned about the Chelsea tractor being scratched than a pedestrian being denied the right to walk safely.

Me and my disgruntled neighbour have those problems. I have a 'pram' for my mutt (as slightly seen in the first pic') and mobility problems. She (neighbour) is blind in one eye and only has 30% vision in her 'good eye'. Sometimes those blue hand rails seen in the pics are completely blocked by vehicles. As you can see in the bottom photo', the road has a rough, uneven surface and cars are being maneuvered left right and centre, making walking on/in the road not safe at all!

Wear a Boris Johnson mask while doing the deed.

Taken at the top of the local high street this afternoon.

Yes,ok he was unloading from his van into a shop, but he could've parked in front of the shop (out of view),not on the zebra crossing zig zags, but that'd mean having to walk a few more yards.
He actually got stroppy and asked if i was photographing him. Before i could reply he told me to f..k off. I called him a choice name in return and left it at that.🧐
