I've read this several times and still can't figure out what you mean
Marin said 'better change the thread title soon'... ie when over-50s get the chance to go on-line to book their vaccines... so I meant a person in their 50s [ie a youngster] can post a suitable thread.

It was a bit obscure in isolation 👍!

I think we need a brand new thread for every phase of the Stage 2 vaccine rollout.:ohmy::ohmy:

We really could do with a lot more Covid threads here on the Board.

Happy for this one to be taken down by the Mods... it's served its purpose!

Honestly, I think it's too soon and still serves a purpose imo. There's still a lot of the moderately (?) old that haven't been jabbed and that may bump into the thread prompting them to get online.

It's proved to be very useful judging by the responses thus far. :okay:

It'll fade once it's natural course has run - a bit of a metaphor for life really.

Oh dear, I'm getting far too serious now. I best go and rustle up some Hot X Buns and coffee and turn my mind to other matters.

Wife had the Pfizer vaccine yesterday, no ill effects immediately however overnight she had two bouts of where we suspect her temperature rose & she had either very vivid dreams or what she thinks were hallucinations she was convinced there were other people in our bedroom. But this morning she's only got a slight ache/pain in her arm.

I went this afternoon to a mass vaccination centre about 7 miles away. It didn't feel safe. Very much based on crowd control in terms of keeping punters 2m apart from each other. Very little effort on keeping staff 2m apart from the punters when possible. I had to pass within 2m of at least 9 non-vaccination staff. And the chairs in the recovery room were well closer than 2m. Not impressed.

Perception of safe, do you work? If so at home? Have you been ' locked away ' for the last year?

Live alone or with people still working?

Certainly my friend who’s a vaccine centre Marshall is swabbed before every shift, so I’d have no concerns about the staff (that said I have no concerns about getting close to anyone wearing a mask momentarily or even for a few minutes either)

Went on the ebike, which typically with an appointment to make had a mechancial - the rattling "Chainglide" Chain Guard managed to fall off tangling itself with chain. Chain guard parts put in rucksack (later binned as they are twisted or split) and made it with 7 mins to spare. Noting said about no cycling and had was given the Pfizer one.
