The Tour of Britain Women (weird name) starts today. Hard to see past Kopecky but the GB team of Deignan, Georgi etc looks great! I’m off to Warrington and Manchester at the weekend to watch, really looking forward to.

I see one of the British riders got knocked off her bike on a training run then the driver came back and lambasted her!

A lady called Kate Richardson but I can't seem to link the story to here.

Ah I thought the name rung a bell!

Me too...although there cant be many Nerurkars running around the place. Reasonably interesting article from CW a few months back:

Paging @richp: and you might have seen him when riding around town before having a few sherbets on the beach...seeing as his first club was Preston Park Youth CC.

Yes, I remember him around here.
He once rode up Ditchling Beacon (1 mile @ 10%), something like 17 times as a challenge when he was 14 or so IIRC

Steven Kruijswijk (Visma-Lease a bike) was among the most affected by the crash and went into the race ambulance while team-mate Dylan van Baarle seems to suffer from a shoulder injury.

Given the crash which took place in the peloton and the shortage of ambulances, race organisers decided to neutralize stage 5. The riders will go to the finish line under the escort of the Garde Republicaine: “The race is neutralized, there will not be times taken at the finish and no winner in this stage,” organisers said.

from twiiter you can only see back end of it, but it looked very wet and slippy, twas on the final descent with about 20k to go.

Looked like ice ! Hopefully no serious injuries....watching it looked like most just slid along.
Remainder of the stage has been neutralized.
