well ? how was the first outing ?
On the SS? Good. Didn't do any of the climbs in the area as I didn't want to kill the legs as I was doing the ToW later. Rode about 20 odd KMs in 40 mins, so averaged about 30 kph, which equated to about 18 mph. Only 110 metres of ascent though so relatively flat. A nice cruising gear on the bike, so the flats were a dream. Hills will obviously be very hard - I'll try some out in the coming weeks, if the weather stays good :okay:

Well done Whorty, the most important question. Did it put a big smile on your face?!

Any pics?

That will go down quickly once I do longer rides with taller climbing. In the next few weeks I'll go out for some 3-4 hour rides and see how I fair. To be honest though, it's an easy gear, on the flats you could pedal it all day. Was pleased though

It did  Was particularly pleasing overtaking other cyclists :bicycle: Only 2, but it's all I saw out this afternoon, but it's a start! Not taken any pics yet .... will get around to that :okay: It's nothing fancy, just a Genesis Flyer and at £230 is less than one pedal on some bikes

Don’t have to be fancy bud! I just like seeing pics of people’s bikes

Genesis make really good frames. You know I’m a bit sceptical about doing the DD on a singlespeed. But man are they great fun. Enjoy it bud.

You can also select "My Team" then "All" and it lists all the Cycle Chat riders and the races they been in and their times etc. This is where I get times from for the log :okay:
