Think I'm in Team Electric Spirit EMEA C (18.15 UK time) timeslot. What timeslot are you racing @alex_cycles ? Anyone else riding the DRS at EMEA C?

I'll be doing the Atlantic slot in Amethyst/Platinum which races at 1045 on Wednesday mornings.

But tomorrow in FRR I will be racing HAB. It's quite likely the ony one I will do though. We'll see.

I have had an update from JetBlack... My Victory trainer is due mid-Feb end-of-Feb hopefully, first or second week of March!

This device had better arrive then, be as good as the reviews said, AND be reliable, or I will pull out what is left of my hair!!

Oh man what a saga. Fingers crossed you'll love it and this will just be a distant traumatic memory!

The further delay risks causing a problem since I had planned a holiday for the middle of March and might not be here when it eventually arrives!

I don't know if JB would hold the delivery back for me if it came to that. I don't want to risk my device being sent to someone else instead and my order going into the queue for batch #3!

You like people too much. I try to stay away from them
It really does call into question the benefits of going to any big event, if you're going to be wiped out for several weeks post event

Knock on are little things, like I was going to take my daughter around the local town whilst on half term to learn some driving routes and familiarise herself. That's all gone t!ts up, Ive isolated all week.

Upside,I got in 20 mins Zwifting this morning at 85W, it felt good to turn the pedals, despite sweating buckets 🪣 😁

It seems so long ago you ordered it. I've been in ICU several times, recovered and you still don't have a turbo 😭

Just before I fell off the perch last, a piece of oval bar arrived for my lads turbo. This was to widen the outer leg to prevent toppling in a sprint situation. I've got to drill and paint, straight forward once I'm doing jobs again

Interesting. On Tuesday during the Loop de loop race I did, second time up Hilly KoM my trainer felt very wobbly and strange and made a weird clanky noise. I looked down and the right leg had folded 50%.

I've braced it with a piece of wood to stop that happening again. Initially I tried a piece of flat perspex glued on but that didn't hold because of the acute angle.

Good bogit repair. 👍

I had a similar situation with the TacxNeo in a sprint. It jumped out of its mounts and nearly slid off the rocker board. I now have a couple of bungie cords holding the turbo in place.

100% I know all the extroverts hated lockdown. I thought it was amazing

I absolutely loved the first lockdown. It was one of the best periods of my adult life.

Me and the wife would make up picnics, get on the bikes and cycle along deserted lanes, glorious

We gathered all the kids and their partners from the big smoke and had them live with us for several months.

The wife bought a bulk bag of flour (which had initially become difficult to obtain). She would take it around the village to all the old dears, who would bake up some lovely delights 😁

It almost seems a terrible thing to say, but we had a great lockdown too. Got to spend loads of quality time with my wife and boys. The garden had a lot of attention, and in July 2020 we started having our extension built, while we were both WFH.

It helped that we’re fortunate to have a large house and live in the countryside, though…

Only thing I regret is not getting a smart turbo until the end of 2020.

I'll see you there. I'm racing at the same time.

Well, I say racing, but it's more likely to be a Zone 2 recovery ride. Found out last week that I've had pneumonia.

After a chest x-ray, my 3rd course of antibiotics seems to be getting on top of it. The whole thing started with a cold, possibly Covid, at Christmas and has been rumbling on since then, through a second cold and 2 earlier courses of antibiotics.

Got back on the bike last week, but I think I'd be better off following a very slow pace partner right now!

Saw you in the lineup. Should be a lot of fun. But don't overdo it while recuperating.

I have recently treated myself to some zwift play controllers ,still getting used to the steering .As an experiment this morning I completed the course Danger noodle , obviously a twisty course using the rollers of titans both ways . I tried to take the shortest line on the course possible as I crossed the line I ticked over to 31.5km the companion app has the course listed at 32.3km anyone know if that's accurate? .If it is that's a saving off 800mts !!!!
